We have a collaborative atmosphere, meaning that, we help each other with the challenges of hairdressing.  Our knowledge and team spans many generations, and is always growing and changing.

The Rio Philosophy is Teamwork and Education.  This is how we stay on top of our everchanging beauty industry.  We require our staff to get continuing education throughout every year.  We bring in National Educators 2 times a year and attend outside education when available. We have Redken Master stylists, Redken Color Certified and Design Certified Stylists.  We are Certified in Bellami Hair Extensions and have multiple certifications in Mizani’s Aircut.  Choose the right stylist for you and let us show you how to look and feel good.

Fran White

Professional Hairstylist

Hourly Base Price $75

Francis White was born in Tallahassee (go Seminoles!). She learned her craft at TCC/Euro Hair. She moved to Jacksonville and started working at Rio Hair Studio in 2006. She is always keeping up with the latest fashion trends.  Fran received her Redken Design Certification in 2016 and is a Redken Master Stylist. Her hobbies are volunteering, reading and shopping. Francis is married and has one wonderful daughter.  Her personal style is classic modern. Francis strives to make her guests feel special, appreciated and unique. If you want a classic but modern look Fran is the stylist for you.  She works Wednesday-Saturday, with some late appointments available Thursday.

Autumn Menard

Manager / Professional Hairstylist

Hourly Base Price $95

Autumn Menard joined RIO Hair Studio in 2023 after relocating from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where she developed her craft over 15+ years. She specializes in vivid color, corrective work, and bold transformations, while also loving blonding and dimensional looks. Extensions are a key part of her services, offering K-tips, I-tips, tape-ins, volume wefts, and flex wefts with a focus on natural, seamless results. Autumn is passionate about growth and education, constantly learning and pushing creative boundaries—often experimenting with her hair. Outside the salon, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband, two children, and their fur babies! A self-proclaimed foodie and workaholic, Autumn thrives on creativity and connection, and can’t wait to meet you and bring your hair goals to life! Available Sunday–Friday. Sara Dupuis

Professional Hairstylist

Sara joined Team Rio in October 2021.  Sara was raised in Jacksonville Beach and went to Fletcher High School.  She began working at a local salon and fell in love with the beauty industry. She graduated from Aveda.  Sara loves anything artistic.  She enjoys making big changes for her guests. She is certified in extensions, event styling, and dimensional colorist! Her hobbies include painting and creating clothes. She has a daughter who loves to share her craft.  Sara has a passion for connecting one-on-one with her guests.  She will help you bring out your inner beauty by enhancing your outer beauty.  If you are looking for a new look or edgy style, Sara is the stylist for you.  She is available Sunday-Wednesday!

Natalie King

Professional Hairstylist

Natalie joined our team in April 2022.  She graduated from Aveda Institute in 2020.   Natalie loves blonding and vivid, “fun color”.  She expresses her creative side through her clients’ hair. She has a humble demeanor but once you get to know her, you will want to establish a relationship with you that will last and grow. Natalie has many hobbies, including Reading, Video games, Horticulture and Shopping.  Her favorite restaurant is Hawkers. Bex Pineda

Professional Hairstylist

Bex moved from Brooklyn to Florida when she was nine. This is where her love for creativity and beauty began. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2013. Trained at Joe Blanco Makeup School, completed the Vidal Sassoon ABC Cutting course. She later taught at Paul Mitchell for seven years—earning Educator of the Year in 2024. Bex is a well-rounded stylist specializing in dimensional color, lived-in brunettes, vivid work, cutting, and corrective transformations. She never limits herself to one specialty. She creates whatever her guests need through her technical skill and intuitive artistry. Outside the salon, Bex is a mom, a creative soul, and a nature-lover who draws inspiration from color, energy, and the world around her. Aurora Bouchelle

Aurora Bouchelle joined our team at RIO Hair Studio in 2026. Her work is rooted in creativity, individuality, and genuine connection. She is passionate about helping each guest feel confident and seen, creating looks that reflect their authentic self, while enhancing their natural beauty. Aurora especially loves working with soft, dimensional color, natural textures, and effortless lived-in styles. Inspired by her love for art, music, and self-expression, Aurora approaches hair as a form of creativity—thoughtful, intentional, and unique to every client. She is committed to growing behind the chair, continuously learning and evolving her skills to deliver results that feel both modern and personalized. When she’s not in the salon, Aurora enjoys spending time at the beach, going on nature walks, reading, and exploring art and sculpture. Taylor Kenzie

Taylor Kenzie joined RIO Hair Studio in 2026, beginning her professional journey after training at the Aveda Institute in 2024. Originally from Connecticut, Taylor relocated to Florida at a young age and has been building her passion for hair ever since. She loves working with vivid colors, blonding services, and color corrections, always aiming to create eye-catching, personalized looks in a fun, welcoming chair. Outside the salon, Taylor enjoys traveling, surfing, and attending festivals and concerts. With a creative spirit, a fun personality, and a love for connection, she’s excited to grow in the industry and help bring each client’s vision to life. Skye Branum

Future Hairstylist

Skye joined our team in April 2026.  She is a smart and dynamic personality.  She is currently in school at Aveda, so you will see her at the front desk until she graduates.  Her passion is color, especially Vivds.  We look forward to watching her grow with our team this year.  She will be ready to take clients by the end of the year. Zoe Marshall

Zoe joined Rio in 2024.  She was born and raised in Jacksonville.  She lives with her kitties and partner.  She has many dreams 1. To travel as much as possible, 2. To provide fun, funky cuts and colors to her clients. She wants to help people feel and be their best selves. Her goal is to do this while being able to express herself as creatively and visually as she can! Zoe specializes in vivids, alternative cuts, extensions of all kinds, and texture styles. She wants you to join her so she can bring exciting colors and hairstyles into your life.  Making you feel good inside and out. Mackenzie Colclough

Mackenzie has been with Rio since 2019. She was born in Louisiana and has lived in many states due to her military family. Mackenzie graduated from Paul Mitchell at the top of her class. If you want a color transformation, Mackenzie will give you her professional opinion about what is best for you. She has an eye and a passion for color and loves making you become your authentic self.  Her talent exceeds her years. She works, Sunday-Thursday. Daniel Medranodiaz

Professional Hairstylist

Hourly Base Price $80

Daniel joined Rio in 2024.  He was born in Washington, D.C., but spent most of his time in Jacksonville, FL.  He considers himself a dual-city lover. Daniel graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2019.  He loves every aspect of hair and considers himself a generalist.  He loves doing detailed men’s hair, feathered cuts, blowouts, and dimensional blonding. Daniel has many talents. He performs drag by the name of Dairy Queen.  This has given him the experience to handle updos and styling with ease.  He does not limit his talent to that. Vivids is another thing he would love to do to enhance your inner Lisa Frank. Daniel is bilingual (Spanish and English); therefore, he can bring a spicy flavor to your look that will make you feel hot. He loves animals of all kinds. Tessa Huisman

Tessa joined our Team in 2025.  Tessa is a breath of fresh air.  She graduated in December of 2024. She came to us from Rochester, MN.  Tessa loves being a stylist because she loves giving her clients more confidence by pampering them and making them feel beautiful. Kathryn Broussard

Kathryn joined our team in 2025. She relocated from Louisiana, and we’re thrilled to have her vibrant energy and creative passion at the salon. Kathryn’s love for beauty began with makeup and creative self-expression. She is excited to continue growing in her career while exploring the beautiful state of Florida. Kathryn graduated from Aveda Institute in 2021 and has an Associate’s Degree in Business and Technology. She specializes in layered and textured haircuts and embraces bold alternative colors. If you’re in for a big transformation or a fresh update, Kathryn loves helping people feel confident and comfortable in their skin. She’s down for anything creative and always brings an open heart to her work. Michelle Maurer

Michelle was born in Brunswick, ME and relocated to St. Augustine from just outside of New Orleans, LA. Michelle joined RIO as a receptionist in November of 2016. She quickly took to the task of customer coordinator and has made herself indispensable. She is currently our Front Desk Lead so if there is a question you need answered she is the person to ask.  Michelle is someone who will go over and beyond to make sure you are happy with your service and your appointment. She loves keeping up with fashion and new design trends. Michelle and her husband, Steve, love to Golf and travel.

Misty Burbridge

Hairstylist / Owner

Hourly Base Price $95

Misty Burbridge is a Jacksonville native. She opened RIO Hair Studio in 1990 with partner Shannon Hogg. As the sole owner of Rio, she has grown and expanded.  She is a Master Specialist and is Redken Color Certified.  Her style is trendy and funky. Misty and her husband, Clint, travel and visit friends and family. She is a fitness enthusiast and loves working out and playing Pickleball.
